I was planning on a vacationing in California and I was thinking to myself what do I want to see?!!!  Duh, the nearest airsoft store.  I decided find the closest one on where I was staying in Antioch, CA.  I was lucky and found one actually in Antioch itself.  I picked up a rental car and went down.  The owner wasn't there so I spoke with of the guys behind the counter.  As requested, no names or pics were taken of the person giving the interview.  Please note, I had to transcribe the video I took so there might be some things that may not sound right but that is how the conversation went.  In any case, here is what we talked about:

Shooters, Are You Ready? PDF Print E-mail

Hawaii Action Airsoft IPSC airsoft shootingEver wonder what else you can do with your gas blowback pistol? I have been playing airsoft for a year and a half and the question has already come to mind. I enjoy tweaking my hi-capa to get the best performance out of it, including making it look “custom.” During Accuracy while firing airsoft pistola regular game day, my trusty sidearm sits in my holster at the ready but gets little action other than the occasional pistol only game. And who wants to risk having optics shot out or scratching a limited edition slide kit? While talking with friends, Henry and Ian, we came up with a solution: Action Shooting.

Action Shooting (AKA: Practical Pistol Shooting) has been around since 1976. It is an organized sport for real steel shooters that we adapted for airsoft. It takes airsoft shooting to another level by forcing competitors to develop the ability to accurately shoot targets while moving through a course as quickly and safely as possible. The scenarios, courses, and targets are made to depict situations that could logically happen. For three months we’ve worked on developing and testing our ideas with the help of friends. Finally, we turned a simple idea into reality and formed HAAS (Hawaii Airsoft Action Shooting).

Out with the Old, In with the New? USP Compact Comparison PDF Print E-mail

USP_new_smallA few moths back I was able to purchase a new pistol.   For me this was some what of an occasion as I don't pick up new guns frequently. Because of this I was out scouring the internet in the weeks prior to the purchase, trying to find what I wanted and familiarizing myself with all the latest offerings.  I finally settled on the USP Compact as it is a smaller, lighter weapon that seemed to fit my needs.  In the GBB (gas blow back) department this narrowed it down to either a KSC or KWA, both of which have old and new versions, both essentially made by the same company. Making the purchase locally, I ended up with a KWA NS2 (new System 2) version.  A thread going in our forum here is chock full of suggestions by community members. There is also a separate one specifically about the NS2/system7
